The Punjab Government is planning to launch Phase II of Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme and Asaan Karobar Card Scheme soon. Following the success of the first phase, thousands of businesses have been opened across Punjab during the last few months. The government is now planning to launch the second phase of the program to boost Punjab state’s economy further. Punjab’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chaudary Shafay Hussain, revealed that interest-free loans of PKR 90 billion will be disbursed through four different loan schemes.
These schemes include the Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme and the Asaan Karobar Card Scheme. He further said that it will benefit more than 5500 businesses across Punjab in the future. While chairing a meeting at the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) House, he reviewed the PSIC’s performance and different ongoing programs. He emphasizes the Punjab Government’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and industries by improving access to finance and infrastructure.
When will Phase 2 begin?
The minister further announced an upgrade program valued at 2.75 billion PKR for 23 small estate industries in Punjab, expected to begin in October 2025. However, the exact date is still to be confirmed and will be announced soon. The main objectives of the program include enhancing cleanliness, improving infrastructure, establishing green belts, and providing other missing facilities across Punjab.
